Submitted the Patient Input Response for the Pan Canadian Oncology Drug Review (pCODR) with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC) and Ontario Parents Advocating for Children with Cancer (OPACC) for the CAR T-cell therapy called Kymriah (Novartis).
On September 6, the chimeric antigen receptor T cell (CAR-T) therapy, Kymriah (tisagenlecleucel/CTL019), was approved by Health Canada. Kymriah is the first CAR-T cell therapy to receive approval in Canada.
May 2018:
Patrick Sullivan announced Chair of the Board of Directors of the Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundation.
April 2018:
Meeting with the Federal Minister of Health, the Honourable Ginette Petitpas Taylor to present the Ac2orn proposal to address inequitable access to promising early phase clinical trials for children, adolescents, and young adults (CAYA) outside of their home province and to develop a relationship with Health Canada to develop a national strategy for CAYA cancers. The meeting was also attended by Kathy Brodeur-Robb, Director of the C17 Council and Helena from Helena's Hope: Pathways to More Children Surviving Cancer.
